Christmas was somewhat eventful this year. Now that Rachel is bigger, she was excited to receive so many presents. She started receiving the presents about a week before Christmas. I told her she had to wait until Christmas Day to open her presents. So she obediently placed the presents around the tiny Christmas tree that we had. (Didn’t set up the bigger tree this year).

Then on Christmas Day we went to church in the morning for Christmas Day service at 10am. Samuel got baptized during the service. He was quite well-behaved.

kneeling down at the communion rail coz Sam was getting restless, so needed to distract his attention..

smile! rachel didnt want to let go of the drumsticks! hehe…
After having lunch in church, we headed home. Kids took their nap. After nap, it was time to open the presents! Rachel was so excited… she was so happy. Unfortunately we forgot to take photos of her unwrapping the presents. And we forgot to take photo of all the unwrapped presents. Among some of the presents she received are : pretty shoes & jeans from Grandma & Kong Kong ( the shoes that she’s wearing in the photo above are the shoes from Grandma & Kong Kong), pretty lace socks & soft toy from Jee Ee & Jee Teow, pretty red dress from Sar Ee, colourful musical fish toy from Ah Ma & Ah Kong, Elefun toy game & clothes from Papa & Mama, story book from Timothy & Joel, cute pencils & erasers from Julia, flowery dress from Michi & Caleb, Disney powder from Matthias, and many many more. (can’t remember all laa, my memory fails me…sigh). And for Samuel : cute matching baby Mickey shirt & shorts from Grandma & Kong Kong, cute white & blue tshirt from Jee Ee & Jee Teow, cute yellow checkered shirt from Sar Ee, small toy drum from Ah Ma & Ah Kong, cute jumper & tshirt from Papa & Mama, and different type of tshirts, shorts and jumper from fellow friends. Next year, Samuel will be able to open his presents himself. This year, his cheh cheh happily volunteered herself to open his presents! hehehe.
On a sadder note, a dear aunt of mine passed away on Christmas Day. She had been battling stomach cancer. We had a simple Christmas dinner at my parents place before heading to my aunt’s place to pay our respects. “Dear Kuma, you will be greatly missed by all of us. Rest in peace. “
